Bob Thomas
Bob Thomas graduated from East Carolina University in the class of 1993 and shortly after, settled down in Raleigh, NC. Bob started with Styro Systems & Claddings in 1995 as an Outside Sales Representative and then became a minority shareholder 2004. Over the next 15 years Bob continued to purchase stock and in 2020, he became the majority shareholder in Styro Systems. Bob has been married to his wife, Candace, since 2009, and they have two sons, Johnathan and Jake. In his spare time, Bob enjoys outdoor activities including Mountain Biking, Hunting and Fishing. But most of all, he enjoys playing and teaching his kids sports.
Cassie Maynard
Cassie was born and raised in Charlottesville, VA and is a lifelong UVA Cavalier fan! Cassie attended Elon University, and after graduating, settled down in North Carolina. Cassie is the proud mother of two grown children and blessed with grandchildren as well. Cassie has been with Styro Systems for 25 years and has had many responsibilities over the years which have prepared her for her current ownership role. Outside of the office, Cassie likes spending afternoons on her back deck watching nature and especially enjoys her husband’s amazing cooking talents!
Chris Sharp
Chris was born and raised in Charlotte, NC, and has lived around the Charlotte area for most of his life. Chris attended Appalachian State University and graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management, and a minor in Business. Chris started his career at Styro Systems & Claddings in Dec. of 2011 as an Outside Sales Rep and currently covers Charlotte, Columbia, Greenville, Asheville, and Knoxville. In 2021, Chris became a minority shareholder in Styro Systems & Claddings, and is excited for what the future holds at Styro. Outside of the office, Chris enjoys anything outdoors, golfing, hiking, and most of all, spending time with his wife and two young children.
Jill Brawley
Jill is originally from Durham, NC, but spent many years living in Charlotte, NC after graduating from Wingate University in 2014. Jill started her career at Styro Systems & Claddings in 2018 as the Cladding Project Manager and has enjoyed building relationships with our great customers ever since. Recently, Jill and her husband moved out of Charlotte and are happy to call Winston Salem, NC home. Currently Jill’s pride & joy is their Border Collie, named Charlie. Outside of work, Jill enjoys supporting local breweries, traveling, and spending summer weekends at Lake Norman with hey family.
Nathalie Nusland
Nathalie grew up in Miami, Fl and attended the University of Central Florida. After graduating, Nathalie moved to central Ohio. Nathalie and her husband have three sons, the oldest of which is currently attending The Ohio State University, while the younger two are currently in high school. Nathalie and her family moved from Ohio to NC in 2019, and shortly after started working at Styro Systems & Claddings in March of 2019. In her free time, Nathalie enjoys making wire woven jewelry, painting, playing tennis, and traveling.
Michael Shafer
Michael has been working with Styro Systems and Claddings since 2019 as territory manager covering the Southern Virginia market Michael resides in Richmond, VA and he transitioned into his current role after spending 25 years coaching NCAA Women’s Basketball. Michael graduated from William and Mary with a BBa Degree and earned a MEd degree from the University of Georgia. Michael is married to his wife Denise, and they have four children between them: Sophie, Sumner, Ellie, and Daniel. In his spare time Michael enjoys tennis, golf and spending time boating with the family and friends.
Madelene Skidmore
Madelene joined the Styro Systems & Cladding team in September 2020 as an Administrative Assistant. Madelene grew up and currently live in Belmont, NC and is a proud fan/alum of South Point High School. Madelene attended 2 years of community college and has worked in healthcare/customer service for 15 years prior to starting with Styro. Madelene is married and has 5 wonderful children that she enjoys hiking, taking trips to the beach, playing NERF wars and having movie nights with. Madelene is so proud to be a part of the Styro team and looks forward to the future.
Carson Whitaker
Carson was born in Greensboro, NC but was raised and currently lives in Wilmington, NC. He began his career with Styro Systems & Claddings in August of 2021 after graduating from East Carolina University with a Bachelor’s degree in Business Management a year prior. As an outside Sales Rep, Carson covers the coastal regions of North and South Carolina in places like Charleston, Myrtle Beach, Wilmington and more. He is excited to see where this industry can take him and hopes to help the company grow in the future! Carson is an avid outdoorsman and likes to spend his time on the boat with friends and family, fishing, hunting and tailgating ECU Football Games. Go Pirates!
