University of Tennessee Engineering Building
The University of Tennessee Engineering Building project is located in Knoxville, TN and utilizes the American Hydrotech MM 6125 Hot Rubberized Asphalt Waterproofing membrane as the base layer of an Intensive Garden Roof System. This roof was designed as a part of the overall project’s stormwater management system. Utilizing 12” of Lite Top Soil and a layer of Rock Mineral Wool, Hydrotech was able to engineer the system to hold large amounts of storm water on the roof top for a period of time, thus reducing the impact fees paid by the University for storm water runoff.
